In Malawi women are often responsible for sourcing food and collecting water. With climate change, that task has become more difficult and the implications on the welfare of women and girls are enormous. Climate Change impacts girls' education, increases child labor, increases domestic violence and makes them vulnerable to abuse.

Our Response

We work to address the violence girls and young women face due to the impacts of climate change through capacity building on climate change, promoting climate justice, raising awareness of sexual and reproductive health rights for girls and young women and providing leadership skills to build a movement of young women climate justice champions

Our Experience

We believe that climate change is a global crisis that can be solved with feminist solutions that are crafted by the women and girls themselves. Adolescent girls and young women are the ones who need to be at the frontline of tackling climate change, equipped with the right skills and knowledge.
